The literature of the Hungarian educational tale (fable, animal tale) was undoubtedly greatly influenced by Western European, primarily German and, through it, French fairy tale literature. Its history is broadly in line with the history of the German educational tale. A XVI. The appearance of the educational fairy tale in Hungarian literature dates back to the time when it reached great popularity, prevalence and high degree in the neighboring Western (German, French) literature: in 1767 a collection of fairy tales in Hungarian was first published, Aesofus's One Hundred and Fifty Tales' s Life. (Another edition in 1774 entitled Aesopus' Tales in Cluj-Napoca.)
